Party on the Mound of Wrigley Field

I sit here on the eve of the first pitch and all around the league owners are feeling the anticipation in the air, wondering what this upcoming season might bring.  They daydream about possible no hitters, 100 win seasons and World Series championship rings.  But on the night before the season  starts, before the first pop of the catchers mitt, before that moment the first time the starter freezes at the top of his windup, I am already popping champagne. Is it arrogant? Absolutely. Is it justified? Maybe. All I know is that I think the Cubs are finally the best team in the MLB for the first time in 103 years.  And I challenge all of you to prove me wrong. It's been a long time coming for this disgruntled franchise, and frankly we deserve it.  My completely biased prediction is that there will be a party on the mound at Wrigley for the first time ever.

But I dont want to win just once.  Oh no. Our fans have been oppressed for so long, a dynasty is certainly justice.  I plan on winning now and later.  Our commissioner and my friend, Nicka, tells me that I have a team that is too old and only built to win this year. I disagree. I acquired pieces to build around and now I just have to build around them with fresh talent.  Welcome to my league, owners.  For as long as I'm good, I'm going to talk.  If you wish to silence me, all you have to do is beat me.  And at least for this year, I say good luck with that.

*Note from gocubs235*: Everything I say in pennant chase is not serious and I know it's biased.  If i offend anyone during this season please tell me.  If you find me annoying, just tell me to chill and ill calm it down a bit.  I personally find it more fun with slight jabs and trash talking and such, please feel free to start friendly arguments with me about whatever.  Hope we all have a great 1st season in this league, and GO CUBBIES!
