​Just to make it very clear right now, almost all the teams are very good. The difference between a “good” team and a “bad” team is extremely small. There are only 1 or 2 teams that I can say will have a losing season with some certainty and another 4 or 5 that I can say will have a winning season.

So for the large majority of teams, the picture is very hazy. A team I project will finish second in a division could very well end up being last and vice versa. So whether your team is projected first or last, don’t fret. We are just 33% done with the draft. And so far, most teams are looking pretty good.

But there has to be winners and losers so here are my projections after the first 10 rounds of the draft:

Preseason predictions are so difficult because it’s a very long season with trades and injuries and all. And doing a pre-season projection before the draft is even finished is only harder because it is extremely difficult to tell which team is the best right now with so little of everyone’s team actually being drafted. On top of that, the current incomplete teams are very close in talent levels. So with virtually all teams being almost equal in talent levels, Day 2 of drafting is looking to be more important than most would have expected!​
